Working Student - Threat Analysis (M/F/D)

At VMRay, you will work with a diverse, talented, and international team of security professionals who are passionate about cybersecurity, malware analysis, and emerging threats.You will have the opportunity to deepen your technical expertise, contribute to real-world threat research, and gain hands-on experience in an innovative and collaborative environment. We are looking for a passionate, self-motivated, and relentlessly curious Working Student (M/F/D) to join the VMRay Labs team.

• Analyze real-world malware samples and emerging threats

• Develop detection signatures, such as YARA rules, as well as malware configuration extractors

• Research the current threat landscape and relevant cybersecurity trends

• Support the team in developing and maintaining internal tools and services

• Enrolled student (M/F/D) in the field of IT Security or Cybersecurity or Computer Science

• Foundational knowledge of network security and malware analysis

• Basic programming skills in a high level language (e.g. Python, Java, etc.)

• Fast and proactive learner with a hands-on mindset

• Analytical thinking and strong problem-solving skills

• Good communication skills in German and English

• High motivation and ability to work in a team
